Dear Parents, Guardians, Teachers and Students:
Welcome back and, if you are new, welcome to our Bunnell Community. If you are not familiar with PTSA, our unit is made up of parents, teachers and students – PTSA. Last year, in addition to providing scholarships for seniors and supporting Post Prom, we were able, thanks to your efforts, to donate $1200 to our Library Media Center.
This year we look forward to hosting another Barnes & Nobel Book Fair in December and are in the planning stages for a Walk-A-Thon. Please join us. Together we can make a difference. Our mission is to be a powerful voice for all students, a relevant resource for families and communities and a strong advocate for the education and well being of our students. At just $6/Adult Membership and $5/Student Membership, yearly dues are a bargain. Your dues pay for your membership to CT State PTA and also National PTA. Dues are not meant to be a fundraiser. We look for other ways to raise monies for our projects. For example, last year we ran a concession stand at a Yale Football Game in September, hosted a book fair, and sold refreshments at the Faculty Talent Show. If you have any ideas, concerns, or comments, please contact us at bunnellptsa@optonline.net. Also, please check our link on the school website. We will be updating information for you during the school year.
Our meetings are held every other month at 7PM in Room B111. Everyone is welcome! The meeting dates for the 2009/2010 year are: October 5, December 7, February 1, April 5 & May 24.
